A Rotarian "Double" for Newport News VA Rotary Club

Just thought I would brag a little bit about the Rotary Club of Newport News in District 7600 being mentioned in the May issue of The Rotarian magazine, I received the magazine today.  Page 28 includes an article on a five week motorcycle trip to Central and South America taken by Ken Hodge of the Newport News club along with his son, daughter, family friend, and freelance writer for The Rotarian. The trip was to raise funds and promote awareness for the $360,000 Rotary 3H grant that the Newport News club has applied for to build bridges in Zambia.

This is the second time this year the Newport News club has been featured in The Rotarian magazine. In the August 2008 issue the cover story featured Ken Frantz of the Newport News club and the project he started several years ago building bridges in countries to provide better access to schools, clinics, jobs, and markets.
